Description
It is a collection of 15 papers. The papers have been divided between two sections in order to put them into some broader context. The first section contains papers bearing on diplomacy and relations between India and foreign countries since the eleventh century down to the Mughal era till the eighteenth century (AD). The papers included in the second section deal with cultural transfiguration that influenced both life and polity and ultimately paved the way for the rise of composite culture of India. The role performed by the, thinkers, rulers and individual nobles in the field of culture has been studied in some detail.
